There are many recipes that are healthy blender fast and easy to do. Once you've made a mixture of pureed baby food, immediately cover and refrigerate (for a period of three days) or other place in the freezer. Baby food recipes are not difficult and are fairly basic. Fruit - usually good for 6 + months Wash the fruit and cook in a small saucepan of boiling water until tender. Then transfer to a blender and puree until smooth. Make sure that there are no seeds or skin in the puree. If you use ripe, soft fruit, like banana or peach, you can usually proceed to a boil and just put directly into the mixer. Always make sure the puree is free of lumps, seeds or pieces of skin. If you use frozen fruit, thaw slightly before mixing. Vegetables - usually good for five months and Once babies reach the age of five months they can usually treat mashed carrots, squash, sweet potatoes, beets, spinach, peas and green beans. You want either steam, boil or cook vegetables before you transfer to the blender to puree. Remember that babies should not be fed with corn and do not add salt, sugar or fat recipes for blender. Blender or food processor? If you plan to do your first baby food from scratch, then you may be wondering whether it would be preferable to use a blender or food processor. If you use a mixer, you will definitely need to ensure that the fruits or vegetables are soft before mixing. A food processor gives you extra versatility of being able to grind your vegetables first, then mash. However, a mixer is really all you need and it generally costs less, takes less space and is easier to clean. However, your choice will depend on your personal preferences.
