Baby Shower cakes Guests at a baby shower are always expecting something delicious to eat. If you're up to it can be great fun to make a cake shaped like a bottle or decorate a sheet cake to look like a crib.
If you like the idea of a cake, but not to a bottle or crib, you can use this simple recipe and easy to make a delicious baby shower cupcakes.
Ingredients
½ cup sugar
½ cup butter, at room temperature
2 eggs, at room temperature
Milk 1 Tea
1 cup cornstarch
1 tsp teaspoon baking powder
½ tsp teaspoon vanilla
pink food
blue food coloring
white cake frosting
A muffin pan lined with paper liners.
Preheat oven to 375 º F.
In a medium bowl, mix butter and sugar. With electric mixer and beat together on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating until smooth. Then add the milk and cornstarch. Continue beating 4-5 minutes or until smooth. Add baking powder and vanilla and beat until well blended.
Divide the cake batter into two small bowls. In a bowl, add just enough food pink coloring to turn the dough pink. In the second bowl, add just enough blue food coloring to turn the batter blue.
Pour batter into muffin tins lined meadow.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
When done remove from oven and cool completely.
For the glaze.
Divide the white icing into two small bowls. Pink bowl with food coloring and the second blue bowl.
Ice cupcakes with the same color icing.
