Do not burn the soles of Cookies Again! The oven temperature
The first step on how not to burn cookies is to make sure that your oven temperature is accurate by checking with an oven thermometer. I bought one recently in a discount store for under $ 4.00. If your oven thermometer does not match your set the oven temperature, you want to have your oven calibrated.
Center Rack oven
Bake cookies on the center rack of the oven only. Using center rack of the oven, the cookies will receive the same amount of heat on both sides of cookies.
Cooking and Pizza Stones
Bake cookies on a baking dish or pizza stones. cooking stones are available at most specialty kitchen stores or online. They are much better for baking cookies than any metal pan as they are porous and allow air to circulate evenly throughout your cookies while they are baking.
Scoops
I recommend using balls instead of spoons or your hands to place the cookie dough on the baking stone. They are also available in most specialty kitchen stores or online. The balls make sure your cookies are the same size and are nicely rounded when they are cooked. They are also the release of cookie dough on baking stone easier than using spoons or your hands.
Parchment Paper
Always use parchment paper when baking cookies. Using parchment paper keeps your own cooking stones for easy cleaning. More importantly, it allows you to delete cookies from the stone over cooling racks, without spoiling the beautiful round cookies. Once cookies are completely cooled, they easily Peel the parchment paper. No more scratch cookies!
