C Reactive Protein High

Dr. Oz today he had a woman there who had a 20.4 C-reactive protein account and he said he had never seen a high number. Should I consult a doctor and what kind of doctor I see.

A positive test means you have inflammation in the body. This may be due to a variety of different conditions, including:
* Cancer
* A disease of connective tissue
* Heart Attack
* Infection
* Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
* Lupus
Pneumocystis pneumonia *
* Rheumatoid arthritis
* Rheumatic fever
* Tuberculosis

Note: Positive CRP results also occur during the latter half of pregnancy or the use of contraceptive pills (oral contraceptives).
