Calories In Cooked Rice

Posted on January 22, 2010.
Calories In Cooked RiceIs their more calories in the rice cooked or raw?

the stuff on the package is me confussing, n apperntly IVE ate CALs 600 worth of rice = / im really worried now ... arghh .... when its cooked it is more or less CAR?

The weight of rice increases when it is cooked as it needs water. This means that the cooked rice, equal weight is less calories than uncooked. The packages usually refer to the weight of cooked rice in speaking of calories content.

Probably more in flood, as some of the starch is lost in the cooking process.
