Conch Meat

I love conch meat - conch salad, fritters, chowder, etc., but I've never had any in South Florida and the Keys. Is it not enough to freeze the ship? All I ever had was fresh that day.
If it can be shipped without being pasty or become inedible, could someone tell me where to order it from? I am not interested in living shells, as I have no idea as to how to take creatures from another.
