Diabetic Jam

Posted on January 20, 2010.
Diabetic JamWhere can you buy diabetic jam or spreads?

Me and my partner both love the jam, but i cannot as im diabetic, there are more that I can not find anywhere that sells diabetic jam? Ideas? I live in Surrey in the United Kingdom.

Just NO SUGAR jams and jellies. it need not be specifically marked "diabetic. In fact, if it is labeled "diabetic" you'll probably pay more, but get no better result than if you purchased the type of sugar NO.

Be careful though. There was no sugar and no sugar added. NO SUGAR means> NO sugar <. NO SUGAR ADDED already has sugar and it will increase your blood sugar.

Jam is not really a good food for diabetics, because it is mostly fruit with all the water taken and made strong.
Naturally, it is rich in sugar, and always will.

If your blood sugar is well controlled in general, and you can keep an eye, n, then eat but beware;)

My personal favorites are St. Dalfour. Everything in it is the fruit and grape juice.
No chemicals, no added sugar.
If a jam without sugar is said, he is lying. There are lots of sugars in some fruits, even if you leave the water.

Fruit sugar is still sugar.
Personally, their apricot one is beautiful, and one blueberry is wonderful with ice cream and pancakes.

Smucker's makes a sugar-free, and it could be another brand or two in the health food "section. If you just use a teaspoon or so, carbohydrates are usually in jam almost the same as sugar. Most carbohydrate in the fruit.

Most chemists and the dome of large supermarkets. Do not worry because they are tasteless and have a little sugar in them.

your local supermarket sometimes has a special section for diabetics. Have you tried all the health stores, I'm sure if you ask, they will tell you

Tesco / Asda / Morrisons etc.

Here in the U.S., you can get them at any grocery store. I use the brand Fifty/50.

EMT

Simply use the jam / jelly and count carbohydrates.
