You remember or can you find a store (U.S.) which makes gourmet marshmallows with organic ingredients? My daughter and husband have severe allergies to sulfites and inorganic sulfates. Regular corn starch may contain sulfites, an ingredient commonly found in the marshmallows, the corn syrup. Strangely many shops, stores, etc. sell and call all marjarine natural as it is all natural?
I am 99% certain I came across an American store while I was out of control eBay shop, using Pay-Pal, so I was on the site Pay Pal. They specialize in Gourmet Marshmallows - and some of these ingredients were organic. They are not blown plush, which is everywhere online when looking for the real McCoy. I found a few other stores that have these handmade confections Square Cut the old one - but none has been the store I was there two months - with some with organic ingredients. This is essential because none of those I found are organic ingredients. I'm not looking for the purple dye made from plants, rather than the candy in its most natural form. I am very happy and grateful for that!
No idea, but here is a recipe for home
Marshmallows house
3 packages unflavored gelatin
1 1 / 2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
salt 1 / 4 c. Kosher Tea
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
Confectioners sugar, for dusting
Cup Mix gelatin and 1 / 2 of cold water in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the whisk and let sit while you make the syrup.
Meanwhile, combine sugar, corn syrup, salt, and 1 / 2 cup water in small saucepan and cook over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Increase heat to high and cook until the syrup reaches 240 degrees F on a candy thermometer. Remove from heat.
With the mixer at low speed, slowly pour the sugar syrup into the dissolved gelatin. Turn the mixer to high speed and whip until the mixture is too thick, about 15 minutes. Add vanilla and mix well.
Pour the marshmallows in a 8 by 12 inches, non-metallic pan and smooth the top of the mixture with wet hands. Allow to dry uncovered at room temperature overnight.
Remove the marshmallows from the pan and cut into squares. Roll the sides of each piece carefully in the icing sugar. Store uncovered at room temperature.
I think I saw something on organic marshmallows on the food network last year. You can try to go to their site and do a search ...
