Historic Resort Mt. Eyes of tourism development Rooster

the central province of Henan has put one of his unique and legendary scenic attractions, the charming Jigongshan or Mt Rooster, a broader platform of Culture 2010 Jigongshan and Tourism International Seminar Presentation held at Great Hall of the People in Beijing on January 15.

The seminar aimed to undergo a new showcase attraction rich cultural and historical resources. State and provincial officials, ambassadors from 43 countries and regions, representatives of international organizations, officials of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and representatives of major domestic travel service companies attended the seminar.

Discovered by a Norwegian-American in 1902, Jigongshan used to be a glorious holiday resort for foreigners at the beginning of last century when it attracted foreign diplomats and missionaries from 23 countries. Over 500 villas with different exotic flavors were built later in the region. Jigongshan was considered an exhibition of foreign cultures mixed with historical and cultural heritages, and a place of "heaven near."

Now, the historical attraction seeks to revive and integrate tourism and tourism with investment and entrepreneurial activities. Tie Wang, a senior Xinyang City, Henan Province, had a brief retrospective of their strategy to promote tourism as an industry driving and has asked companies eligible to participate in the development of the tourism industry Jigongshan.

Born in Jigongshan Paul Martinson, Vice-President of China Ventures Services, said his special relationship with the place and said the collection was a source of inspiration.

He said he believes Jigongshan has a history that can be built, and he believes there will be greater interaction in the near future. Mark Harrison, technical director at the Beijing Atkins, who has won an international competition to redesign and build a new Jigongshan said the challenge of moving forward with redevelopment is the preservation of its heritage while finding new and appropriate uses for historical buildings.

As one of the first sites officially approved to open to foreign tourists by the State Council in 1978, was ratified as Jigongshan National Nature Reserve in 1988. It has also been listed as a Top 10 Summer Resort in 2008 and 2009.
