Noodle Salad Recipe

Posted on February 17, 2010.
Noodle Salad RecipeAsian noodle salad recipe that is not sweet! - But I have one?

Most recipes seem to have sugar in one form or another in the sauce. I have no doubt that the sweetness is genuine, but I prefer a recipe that packs a great Asian flavor in all its forms - soy sauce / tamari, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, peppers, etc. - but the sweet note. A link is good, but what I'm really after a very good recipe that you tried it yourself. Thank you.

1 clove minced garlic (roasted)
2) half teaspoon of minced ginger (or ground ginger, if you do not charge)
3) 2 teaspoons toasted sesame seeds
4) 1 / 6 cup soy sauce
oyster sauce 5) 1 / 4 cup
6) shredded carrots
7) fresh green onions (chopped)
8) 1 package Lomein noodles (found in most Asian markets)
9) Crushed red pepper (to taste)
10 (a tablespoon of peanut oil in a couple (of oil will do)
11) 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (optional)
12) a few tablespoons crushed peanuts (optional)
Roast garlic in oil on the stove. Mix all ingredients, except noodles, carrots, peanuts, and scallions together in bowl.Add roasted garlic noodles rinse in cold water and add to sauce mixture. Mix carrots and green onions all is well unti coated.Top crushed peanuts.

This recipe is also good with cold chicken chopped added.I hope you try this recipe. It is one of my favorites. ENJOY!

Ask the chef not to add Suger or sweet soy sauce.

4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons seasoned rice vinegar
1 tablespoon sesame oil Asian
1 / 2 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes
1 clove garlic, minced
2 teaspoons peeled grated fresh ginger
3 / 4 lb. thin linguine
1 cup coarsely grated carrots
3 green onions, cut crosswise into thin slices and third of the length
2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
6 radishes, halved and thinly sliced

Stir soy sauce and the vinegar, oil, red pepper flakes, garlic and ginger.
Cook the linguine in a large saucepan of boiling salted water until tender, then drain in a colander and rinse under cold water until cool. Toss with the vinaigrette, carrot, green onions, sesame seeds and radishes in large bowl.

Cooks notes:
aec Toast seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat, stirring until fragrant and a shade or two darker. Or, toast in a shallow pan in an oven at 350 ° F, 5-10 minutes.

Makes 6 side-dish.
