Organic Baby Baby FoodBaby Shower Food: What and how to serve

A baby shower is a traditional way of celebrating the entry (or birth) of a new baby and welcoming him as a new member of the family. They can be hosted and organized by person, usually the close friends of a group of friends or relatives of the prospective parents. It was once considered inappropriate for family members to host baby showers (because they usually have the gift registry) but now it is great for family members to help (and plane) between them.

Baby showers are usually held a month or two before the scheduled time of the mother due date (in some cultures, however, consider it bad luck to hold baby showers baby before birth). They are intended not only to welcome the baby, but also to help expectant parents by giving them gifts they will need for the baby.

Planning a baby shower can be a daunting task. Everything requires a lot of planning - from the guest list, invitations to the ceremony, decoration, games, baby shower favors - and, more particularly, to food.

Each party can not be without food because they are considered one of the best parts or the highlight of a party. This applies to baby showers as well.

There are many types of food you can serve during baby showers. Some of them are the following:

· Bread or sandwiches · Dessert (cakes, cookies, ice cream, etc.) · Chips or fries · · Power Pies (pizzas, etc.) · Salad · Beverages (punch, juice, wine, etc.)

Here is a list of several tips and guidelines on food ideas that will delight your guests and parents to be:

1. The baby shower food you serve will largely depend on the time of day when it will be. A baby shower to be held at noon or dinner usually requires a full "sit-down meal, while early afternoon or early evening showers can do with appetizers, salads and finger foods. In addition, the amount of food you need to prepare depends on the number of people you will be prompted.

2. Have snack trays for serving multiple varieties of food - you can have one with an assortment of sandwiches, another with sliced Turkey or smoked chicken, and still another with sliced fresh vegetables served with dip that you can place in the center of the tray.

3. Try to match your food and keep them in line with the baby shower, the theme (if there ever was one). You may consider serving scones and finger sandwiches if your baby shower theme is a tea party. Or, if you have a Rhyme on the theme of baby shower, cakes and pies that resemble the famous characters from nursery rhymes (like Humpty Dumpty deviled eggs).

4. Put some life into the baby shower foods that you serve. Instead of serving your fruit salad in a bowl just try to present them in a bowl of melon (or, better still, in a baby carriage Server shaped melon).

5. Decorate your table food throwing candy lollipop baby, chocolate, and confetti everywhere.

6. Personalize your kitchen. Match their colors with the colors of the whole party. Consider using disposable cups or plates for easy cleaning.

7. This is important to take into account the special regime of mother-to-be, so try to avoid serving foods that pregnant mom herself would not eat. In addition to her allergies and food aversions, avoid the types of foods that are prone to contamination and food poisoning, such as soft cheeses, raw meat and (especially) alcohol.

By following these food tips, you will surely be able to withdraw a successful (and memorable) baby shower.
