How to Start Your Own Baby Food Business Part # 4: Understand your market Understanding your market is essential. As soon as possible before starting your business, I encourage you to investigate the mothers of your region to learn more about their values, their purchasing habits and rituals of infant feeding. An easy way to do this is to use an online survey tool (there are dozens out there) to create your inquiry. Then send an email to all the moms you know, after a notice on a bulletin board local mom, or send an email to an online Yahoo! Community groups is for parents.
Not only will this help you know your target market, but it will give you valuable information you can use when reviewing your company with the local media.
