Protein Shake Mix

Posted on February 13, 2010.
Protein Shake MixCan I mix my protein drink in a pot, then serve, or do I mix each drink and drink right away?

I am currently in flip flop between a CNG and a mix of brands Walmart protein shake. Can I use an old milk jug and mix a few weeks of dollars in the pot or the protein drink does go wrong? I'm mixing powder with water, not milk. If I do premix, how long can it sit before it goes bad?

It is not bad. The proteins are broken down (although it would not matter if it does, your stomach will break it anyway).

The milk itself is the only thing that could go wrong. Just drink the shake by the expiry date of milk (if you decide to use milk).

I do not know if the protein drink will remain good for a week. But you can certainly premixed shakes for one day and chill and have them all day.

Also make sure you do not drink too many protein shakes a day. Focus on the consumption of foods together. The typical belief that you need lots of protein is overrated and created by the fitness industry for you to buy their product.

Whole foods will keep you fuller for a longer time and you can never get enough to eat real food.
