Red Yeast Rice Side Effects

Posted on March 3, 2010.
Red Yeast Rice Side EffectsSide effects of red yeast rice and niacin flush is not it?

I have terrible headaches since I started red yeast rice and niacin non-hunting. Is this a normal side effect? I do not watch it take over Dr. reccomendations s instead of Lipator. it only three days. Will these headaches go away, my body adapts to this topic? I followed the dosage too Constr.

The side effects listed for red yeast rice is an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing, closing of throat, swelling of lips, tongue, or face, hives), unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness, especially if s accompanies the flu symptoms. Other less serious side effects are upset stomach, heartburn, flatulence or other gastrointestinal symptoms or gastrointesinal, and dizziness.

DO NOT drink alcohol while taking red yeast rice! It is also advised not to take Niacin with red yeast rice.

I looked up side effects of Niacin not flush and there was nothing listed headaches. But when I looked at the side effects of niacin it headache state. I used the regular niacin and has no headaches and I have taken with red yeast rice also. You can talk to your doctor or keep trying for a couple more days and see if your body to adapt to the supplement.

To know nothing of the niacin flush not, but I take red yeast rice twice a day without headaches. If your Doc has suggested, you should ask him.

I do not see the red yeast rice as the cause of headaches. Niacin, on the other hand is known as a remedy for migraine headaches /, but not everyone reacts the same way to niacin, and could actually cause headaches. Make sure you are getting enough water per day when you take niacin, sometimes that's all you need.

This is not an answer to your question but I just had to pipe in that there are other alternatives to Lipator if this combo is not to be for you.

Apple pectin, the kind you use for home ice, is a soluble fiber that helps reduce cholesterol. Take half teaspoon to 1-1/2 teaspoons per day in juice. Also lecithin, a food available in liquid, granules or capsules. Some people have found the cinnamon, they are taking to reduce their blood sugar, cholesterol was also lowered a few points.

And now Foods is a red yeast rice combo which has several good herbs for the liver (where cholesterol is produced).

If I were in your situation, I went to both the supplements for a few days and then just run the red yeast rice by himself for a few days, then add niacin and see if the headaches return. So when you talk to your health care provider, make sure you have purchased the correct dose.

I have not had the side effects of red yeast rice. Niacin Non-Flush water can cause headaches. I had friends who had to stop taking it because of them. Never took me.

Personally, I do not think the headaches are worth the suffering.

My commitment red rice yeast with good results, I have headaches could not say whether it was related or not. Did not take niacin.
