I wonder if I can burn pure vegetable oil in my diesel engine without having to mix or anything. Also I would like to know the potential drawbacks of him.

Yes you can, but first the oil must be clean and have no water in it. Filter the oil through a fine filter, 2 micron is good (one micron is one-hundredth of a millimeter) and let stand for about two weeks. Then you need to heat up at least 160 degrees F so it can be injected and burned efficiently.
